The 5th reunion for the USS Richard E. Byrd DDG-23 was held October 1st-5th, 2009 in Washington, DC.
Fifty-eight crew members met for hospitality, tours, dining and friendship at the Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts, Dulles Airport.

Day Tour of Washington D.C.08:30 AM - 4:00 PM
$48.00 per person, inclusive
Step off the coach and visit the newly renovated Ford Theater. You will also stop at the U.S. Capitol Building and the White House Visitor Center. Head to the World War II Memorial and spend time visiting the Smithsonian Museums - including the Air & Space Museum and the newly renovated American History Museum.

The day begins with a visit to Mount Vernon, the home of George Washington. At Mount Vernon, you'll explore the home, garden and farm for a complete look into the home-life of one of our nation's most esteemed presidents. Following lunch it is off to the Arlington National Cemetery, for a tram ride, to visit the Tomb of the Uknown Soldier, Kennedy Gravesite, and also witness the Changing of the Guard.
